Stopped by for dinner. Prices were very reasonable and the food was excellent! One of the nicest beef burgers I've had out and the chips were excellent too! Friendly staff and a very welcoming atmosphere.

We found the car park on the free campervan parking app, and I went inside to ask permission just to be polite. The owner was so welcoming and friendly, and introduced me to his dog Rosie. We will pop in for a couple of Guinness later on purely because of his earlier hospitality. Support local businesses and stay / eat here

My partner and I stopped overnight in our campervan,on our house hunting trip from Nottingham. We received a lovely warm welcome and had a peaceful night in the parking area, woke in the night to see the most amazing starry sky! We had our evening meal as well as breakfast the following morning, the food was delicious fresh home cooked fare and the service was impeccable. Such lovely staff and the owner is friendly and welcoming. If we stop by this area again we will definitely return!

Myself, Husband and Brother dropped in on our way to the ferry in Aberdeen with our Motorhome for an overnight stay. Really enjoyed the evening, the staff we're really pleasant, the food was really good and there was plenty of room in the parking area.
Would definitely call in again if we get into that part of Scotland again.

In for an evening meal,food was good and waitresses nice, only grumble is the gammon steak was smoked and didn't state this on the menu , love gammon but unsmoked. Apart from that it was good. Not sure about the new name red lion ????

We stayed in a lovely Airbnb nearby (Muirton of Ardovie) for 7 nights and discovered the Red Lion on our first night. The food was really nice and the service very friendly. They also made a fuss of our rescue dog Jasper, feeding him doggy treats at frequent intervals, much to his delight!
We would have eaten here every night but the Restaurant was closed on Mondays, so we only managed to eat here 6 nights. We tried the Haddock and Chips, Highland Chicken, homemade burger, Steak pie, ordering some of the dishes for two nights. The food was consistently good with decent portion sizes and reasonable prices, especially considering the quality of the food.
The food is great and the staff are really friendly. It is nice to be able to support a great local business rather than a chain restaurant. We did not sample the accommodation so cannot review the rooms. If you are in the locality I strongly suggest you pay a visit. I would definitely recommend.

We stopped en route to Perth & had the most wonderful welcome. We sampled both starters & mains with each cooked to perfection & presented well. The portion sizes are large & the staff friendly & helpful. Even giving up some uneaten food home with us perfectly wrapped in foil to keep warm. The food was delicious. We will be back for sure. Thank you.

Stopped off lunch, my friend been here many times, me first time, had lovely lunch.
Dog friendly, we took my friends puppy 3 months old, they had dog Rosie the two of them played so happy.

Popped in for lunch which was good and the service was excellent very quiet when we were there. Need to entice more passing trade with better signage on approach and possibly specials like Sunday roast or high tea . Love the place ❣️

Stopped on the off chance of getting a coffee on way back to Aberdeen this evening. We were warmly welcome and served by cheerful staff in a lovely wee coffee shop at the back of the hotel. Breakfast and lunch menu looks good. Dinner in the restaurant too. We will certainly be back there again.

Stopped at Finavon Hotel for lunch. Steak Pie was enjoyed by two of our party and seared Salmon by the other two. Both dished were really excellent will be calling again when in the area.

Warm and friendly Hotel
We attended a family birthday meal and could not fault the service we got .
The meal was fantastic value for money and the service was outstanding the staff was great with the grandchildren.
The food was very tasty and the Hotel catered for the Grandchildren as well even.
The Hotel was clean and very tidy a great place to go if your look for value for money.

First visit there to celebrate my partner's mum's 60th and the space available was great for the amount of people that were attending,service was brilliant and food was fantastic,no waiting long before meals,building and amenities were clean and well presented

Good service nice girl behind bar. Poped in for food. Was expensive for what you got. I complained about the veg being hard not much chicken or leek in pie was all pastry. just got "sorry" will not be going back..

A quaint place to stop for food and refreshments. On our road North we popped in hoping for an evening meal. The menu offered a choice and after opting for black pudding and scallops it provided us with a taste of things to come....all good. The steaks were cooked to our liking and presented well. The staff and service was welcoming. We will be back
